Update regular Donations

You can update or cancel your recurring donation at any time by logging into your account on our website or contacting our donor support team. Please send us a message via our contact link at the bottom of this page if you cannot login or have other questions regarding your subscription.

The Donor Portal is a self-service dashboard that you can visit to manage your donations. Access to the Donor Portal does not require a user name or password. Instead, we authenticate using a secure magic link that is emailed to you when you wish to log in. You need to login in with the email address used when you made a donation.

Click on Login (see menu) if you want to access the Portal.

Donor Portal recurring donation settings

These Donor Portal settings control the display of retention features. These features are designed to reduce the number of supporters who cancel recurring plans.

The options for these settings are described below.

1. Recurring donation cancellation

Supporter can cancel in Donor Portal: this option allows a supporter to cancel their recurring plan from the Donor Portal.

2. Reduce recurring donation amount

Supporter can reduce amount in Donor Portal: This option allows a supporter to reduce the donation amount of their recurring plan directly in Donor Portal.

3. Supporter can edit their personal information

Supporters can edit their name, email address, mailing address and phone number in the Donor Portal.

4. Supporter can pause recurring gifts (skip installments)

This option, which is enabled by default, enables a supporter to pause recurring plan installment charges for a certain period of time. Supporters can select from the following pause durations:

1 month

3 months

1-12 months (user-selectable)

A fourth option enables a supporter to cancel their donation without further prompts.

5. Show donation history in the Donor Portal

Supporters can see their donation history in the Donor Portal.

6. Understanding retention prompts

When a supporter attempts to cancel a recurring plan, they will be shown the following retention prompts:

The supporter is prompted to change the donation amount of their recurring donation.

If the supporter selects Change donation amount, they will be shown a screen for modifying the donation amount.

If the supporter selects Just cancel my donation…

The supporter is prompted to pause their recurring plan

If the supporter selects a pause duration, the recurring plan will temporarily pause installment charges until the pause duration has lapsed.

If the supporter selects Just cancel my donation, the recurring plan will be canceled.

Recurring plans that have been cancelled can be reactivated by a supporter at any time from within Donor Portal.
