Pretoria, South Africa. Just north of Pretoria, we found this small settlement with predominantly poor white people. See the little boy at the end of the video. It is so quick to lose your income and end up in a settlement like this. None of these people are there due to drug or alcohol abuse but purely because they lost their jobs and have nowhere else to go. This is a very typical scenario with families of all races ending up in settlements like this due to no fault of their own but purely because of the economy and job losses.
Some families have the luxury of a caravan which is warmer than some of the small wooden huts (wendy houses)
Informal Settlement
Within a normal suburb, in the backyard of an ordinary-looking middle-class house, you would often find several small wooden huts (wendy houses) housing a family. This would normally be the size of a large room in which the family will live, cook, and sleep.
With the word "Hoop" (Hope in Afrikaans) written on the wheelbarrow.

2. Decide whether to start your own fundraiser or join an existing team.
- Starting a New Fundraiser: Choose a name that represents your group or cause. It could be your family name (e.g., Smith, Jones), a company name, a sports team, or a specific cause (e.g., helping the poor in South Africa, Ghana, or a specific suburb like Daspoort, Pretoria).
- For example, if you create a fundraiser called "Smith," you can challenge all the Smiths or your close family members to donate.
